Omar Souleyman – “Enssa El Aatab”

Serious Syrian swagged out tune. Omar always goes so hard … perfect driving tune for when you’re in the Land Rover, speeding over the dunes.

TroyBoy – “Do You”

I first heard this when I was on a trip in Amsterdam, had my head nodding from the start. The intro is soooooo epic, I can just picture myself rolling up in the Sahara with my girls and my cat Zion the Lion bumping this shit.

Madlib – “Beat Konducta in India”

One of my favourite Madlib tunes I love dropping this in a mix, it gets me so hyped. Im also obsessed with the video, the old Indian movie footage is so sick.

We Are Shining – “Road”

Im a big fan of We Are Shining, I love the groove and the vocals on this track , It makes me think Im in Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas rolling with Johnny Depp on some trippy adventure.

Action Bronson – “City Boy Blues”

I love Action’s album, It feels like a journey from start to finish, I love how animated he is and how unafraid he is off pushing the boundaries of what’s expected from him.

Impey & Teemo – “Pep Talk…”

https://soundcloud.com/impeyt/pep-talk

Impey is the new wave UK talent to watch, I love this track he’s done with Teemo it’s so London and it’s so part of the culture I grew up around. Impey Channels those grime and industrial vibes so well..

Sango – “No Greater Place”

https://soundcloud.com/sangobeats/no-greater-peace

“No Greater Place” makes me think of the dessert, it reminds me of when I was filming my video for “Alchemy” and when watched the sun rise. Such a powerful moment and there is no greater place.

TALA – “Alchemy”

I thought as this playlist was based on driving in the dessert it wouldn’t be right not to include Alchemy. The Sahara dessert is such a wild and untamed place, you are completely at its mercy… “Alchemy” is about that powerful feeling that you just can’t explain.

Nicole Wray ft. Missy Elliot – “Make it Hot”

I love the old skool Missy/Tiimbo vibes … this is my jam, it makes me feel like I’m the shit.

Googoosh – “Talagh”

Googoosh is one of my all-time favourite Persian Divas, I also love this period of time in pre-revolutionary Iran, I can only imagine what it was like to have been there.
