Couldn’t-care-less guitar duo Pale Honey will leave you craving more. We premiere their attitude-laden track “Tease”.
Gothenburg girls Pale Honey are here to make you head-bang. Tuva Lodmark (guitar/vocals) and Nelly Daltrey (drums) are our new favourite girls with guitars for 2015. After their debut track “Youth” received endless praise in the press and on the radio waves, we couldn’t help but pay attention to their enviable brand of understated cool.
Having recorded in Paris, Gothenburg and Stockholm (as well as their producers kitchen), their self-titled debut is ready for release, out next week and we’ll be first in line for a copy and a leather jacket so we can strut around our rooms trying to be the third member of the band. Tuva sings breathily on “Tease” with elongated vowels drawing you in until the guitars distort into fuzzy bliss and the drums build in the tempo. Exactly like the title, the song dies down mid-way, tricking you into thinking this is the end then teases you back into a raucous revival of the chorus.
See Pale Honey live 20th May at The Islington, London. Their debut album is out 4th May.
