PREMIERE: TENTERHOOK – “WHAT I LIKE”

To help make your Monday a little brighter, we’ve got a video premiere from Tenterhook, aka Archie Faulks, falsetto extraordinaire.

Like many a singer before him, we first spotted Archie Faulks when he popped up on Burberry’s YouTube channel last year. Since then, he played out the audience at their LC:M show following a tour with Ásegir and support slots with Young The Giant and Luke Sital Singh and is now releasing the single “What I Like” ready for his appearance as an alternating headliner on Communion’s New Faces tour. Archie’s been busy to say the least.

The video for “What I Like” is an endearing look into the journey of ageing, playing on the lyrics, ‘it’s slowing down, it’s slowing my descent’ but refusing to live slowly. Two elderly men strip themselves of their responsibilities and relive their youth. We just hope we’ve got that much energy at their age. It’s a blissfully chilled guitar track which plays as a platform for Archie’s striking and signature falsetto, you’ll fall in love just as quickly as we did.

“What I Like” is out 8th June on Cartoon Records and plays St Stephen’s Church, London 28th April.
