PREMIERE: LISA ALMA – “FINE”

Denmark native Lisa Alma’s debut album is an electrified mashup of piano and percussion, we premiere the singer’s track “Fine”.

Copenhagen citizen Lisa Alma is colliding the two worlds of funk and chill. How, you may ask? With swarms of strings and blurred bass synths anchoring layered vocals. The tempo is slow on her latest track, ‘Fine’ but you’ll be head-bobbing contentedly before you even notice and cooing out, “you’re so fine” in unison with Lisa. It might not quite be full-blown rock and roll or emotionally charged rap but there’s a subtlety to the track that turns it into a full sensory experience. With so many components, it’s almost overwhelming to try and single them out and focus on one.

Lisa’s debut album, Sweater, is a further exercise in these complex composition capabilities, we can promise you twelve tracks of blissed out pop for the modern lover of 80s sensibilities. It dramatic yet understated, with Lisa’s vocals being the main focus of the entire record and the instrumentals blending together to make the perfect backdrop.
