Coinciding with the Savage Beauty exhibition currently at the V&A, Alexander McQueen have released a capsule collection of silk scarves.
We were lucky enough to attend the preview of the Alexander McQueen Savage Beauty exhibition at the V&A yesterday. In what will no doubt be a sell-out show, Lee’s McQueen’s life’s work is laid out in a space nearly as beautifully haunting as it’s subjects. Catacombs house dresses, holograms dance before your eyes and the senses are overloaded with sights and sounds.
Only one hundred of each of the 100 per cent silk scarves have been printed and will surely become collector’s items. Adorned with images of McQueen’s most iconic shows and pieces, you can take your pick from AW08 ‘The Girl Who Lived In The Tree’, SS99 ‘No. 13’, SS10 ‘Plato’s Atlantis’, SS05 ‘It’s Only A Game’ and AW06 ‘Widows of Culloden’.
