PFW: Ann Demeulemeester AW15

Sebastien Munier served up cinched waists, wet look hair and all black everything, except for that red dress, at Ann Demeulemeester.

Romantic Tailoring

Jackets (usually in black) woven in soft fabrics were tightly cinched at the waist by black leather belts, then paired down with striped pants and marching leather boots that kept us gazing across our seats in awe. Then followed by a surprising red dress in cotton that flowed down the catwalk awhile harmonised by leather gloves that only added more to the model’s character!

Subtle Sensuality

Certain looks were kept revealed at shoulder level whereas necklines fell down the chest and transparent fabrics were cleverly stitched across the bosom that Meunier innocently intended to contain such a sensual notion. Not to forget the wet yet romanticised play with the hair that hugged the face so intimately yet this only became more beautiful in drama.

Drapes, and more drapes!

We all love the classic drape, and this show glittered our eyes with desire while flowing silhouettes adored by bondage-like leather accessories bounced down the catwalk so confidently. Minimal black dresses were paired back with long-sleeved gloves and eponymous Demeuelemeester boots that beautifully set the dramatic mood of the show.
