PFW: Issey Miyake AW15

Acid trip geometric patterns and an overload of colours, take a look at Issey Miyake’s AW15 collection.

Sculptural Heaven

A kaleidoscope of geometric skirts, tops and scarvespeaked in black began the Miyake show with a bang that were shortly followed by sporty structures refracted against the glossy flooring. Then we were caught at sight by colour-blocked socks that clashed so pleasantly with printed jackets that were so classic to the Miyake heritage.

Infinite Colours

Pants in the same hue as its married jacket and top would all clash yet harmonise so well, whereas what seemed to be an acid trip of never ending colours soon blossomed into jackets that strangely work in purple and yellow. Whereas some dresses dominated over other looks in a desperate need to steal the shows attention.

Memorable Finale

As spotlights hit the surface of the refracted glass, audience members were brought to a standstill, confused as to what was going to happen next. Then all of a sudden, models started entering the catwalk with intriguing belts that all of a sudden transformed intocolourful skirts while spiralling at the models will. You were either tearing up or clapping vigorously in rightful commendment of such a incredible ending that didn’t stop as models continuously sprung around the finale as the FW15 looks were replayed back to us.
