LFW: Hunter Original AW15

The conceptual Hunter Original show was a love letter to Scotland with some funky urban twists.

Wildlings

Inspired by the nature of Hunter’s homeland, the colours, textures and materials of the collection were distinctly north of the wall… Earthy colours nudes, browns, represented rocks and wild flowers. The textures are influenced the layers underneath the surface of the Scottish highlands, the Hunter Original collection was grounded to say the least.

Urban Decay

The modern explorer needs to be ready for the most extreme of environments, Hunter has enabled the young and fashionable to do just that. With inventive outerwear in mismatched fabrics and brightly coloured highlights – pink shoes, orange turtle necks and organic grid based patterns. Set within a huge derelict warehouse, the show made the journey from the industrial city centre to the wilderness – complete with extensive ironwork set with pouring rivers and waterfalls cascading into pools at the edge of the catwalk.

Heritage 2.0

Some of Hunter’s most classic and recognisable designs have been updated, interpreted and appropriated in this collection. With tote bags stitched in the style of the signature Hunter Wellingtons. Translucent waterproofs updated some of the functionality that never goes a miss at Hunter. Quilted jackets, furry waterproof trench coats, woollen trousers ensure that the Hunter Original gang will be fashionably cosy in the long autumn months. By reusing their top notch know how the creative team behind the collection have modified all the staples for the coming winter.
