LFW: Belstaff AW15

For AW15 Belstaff present the a utilitarian khaki cool girl with a penchant for layers and fur, and a natural flare for adventure.

Flying High

Inspired by legendary female explorers such as Amelia Earhart, the AW15 Belstaff explorer is protected from the elements by natural fibres and fabrics. Draped in fur, shearling, woven wool, mohair and leather, these girls are ready for all weather and all occasion – forget fast fashion and think about climate change. Enclosed within four dishevelled walls, within which a maze of parachutes fell from the ceiling, the girls survived the drop with not a hair out of place.

Contrast Queen

Belstaff have fused together contrasting aesthetics and influences for a collection that fits together in harmony. Masculinity and femininity combine in both tailoring and print. Oversized and barely there merge when it comes to length and volume, whilst excessive layering and full length khaki leather skirts also make a cameo. Casual and luxe unite, meaning your look can transition from day to night at the drop of a cardigan.

Function

The Belstaff collection is designed to be worn rugged and ready to party in the urban landscape, or cruising around the world (mode of transport optional). Waterproof fabrics, nylon, wax, cotton and oh-so-soft wools bring functionality to the forefront for AW15. Effortlessly cool and cleverly curated, we’re digging Belstafff’s take on minimalism.
