Music to dance to from dusk ’till dawn, the line up of line-ups and a cameo from the film festival, this May Berlin Festival is an essential.
If you think you’re a festival pro and you haven’t experienced Berlin Festival, then think again. Celebrating it’s 10th birthday this year, the 2015 line up is billing some of the biggest and most influential international names to play in the city centre’s Arena Park. From the likes of Dixon, James Blake and Rudimental, to Tale of Us, Seth Troxler, Ten Walls and Richie Hawtin, this year is boasting what could well be Berlin’s best line up to date. Weather you’re planning a city break or a pit stop on your inter railing itinerary, Berlin Festival floods the city with club culture, pouring into the streets and parks.
Set amongst the greenery of Arena Park, the Berlin Festival is the perfect escape before the onslaught of muddy fields that await you on the UK festival circuit. All sorts of strokes for different folks from techno legends to rising stars like Chet Faker and world-renowned DJ sets for the non-stop 48 hour party. If you need a time-out from the club and an injection of culture, head to Berlin ‘A’ Screen as Berlin’s film festival scene makes an appearance. Whilst UK festivals in May conjure visions of wet, windy weather and bedraggled hair, we envision a gentle summer breeze to cool off a dance induced sweat over in Berlin. As always, preparation is essential – backpack/bumbag, deodorant, lunch box… this is an immersive 48 hour party, and you won’t want to leave.
