PREMIERE: KARIN PARK & PANDORA DRIVE – “HURRICANE”

We get the first look at Karin Park and duo, Pandora Drive’s collaborative track, ‘Hurricane’.

Karin Park has been at the forefront of electronica since her making her debut way back when in 2003. Since then she’s composed a Norwegian entry for the Eurovision song contest (they’re way cooler about that whole debacle over there) and received a steady stream of praise and a growing gang of fans. Her latest offering, taken from her next album ‘Apocalypse Pop’ is a team effort from Karin herself and Pandora Drive, a pairing of Thomas Knights and Nick Sheldon.

‘Hurricane’ is moody and dark, with Karin’s uber-feminine Scandi vocals elevating it from the depths of the bass. Thomas explains the meaning behind the track, “It’s about being stuck in the eye of the storm as the darkness of the world rages around you. The ‘Hurricane’ is all encompassing; you try to keep your feet on the ground and not get caught up in its grip. Ultimately it’s our poetic understanding of addiction”. The release comes with remixes by Maya Jane Coles, Booka Shade and Barber.
