“We were out dancing all night so good technical running shoes worked well – furthermore their colours were really vibrant which was right on the money in 89.” Gary Apsden has been wearing Adidas since before you were born, he was at the Hacienda when it was just a club, before it became the definition of a generation and he’s watched the brand change with the years. Now he’s heading up the Adidas Originals X Spezial capsule collection. Focusing on the brand’s history and European roots, Spezial aims to bring heritage designs into the 21st century.
