3.1 Phillip Lim has taken a space age theme to their show, with cartoon prints and a woolen coat that could summon the force. Lim has gone for military greens and deep blues, regimented in pallet but the shapes are natural and free flowing. The exaggerated black trimmings, luggage straps and climbing grips for belts is incredibly resourceful and chic. Nets as t-shirts, the least practical pieces of the collection, are exposing but perfect for layering under oversized roll necks and gilets. A luxurious plaid print played a part in the collection, however the show was overrun by lavish materials in soft silks, heavy wools and quilted jackets. Boiler suits and mismatched fabrics in looks make the boys look like the voyaging cast of Star Trek – but way more fashion.
