With influences drawn from military codes, tailoring and school uniform – this eclectic mix is pulled together with lashings of the Diesel Black Gold attitude. Texture and materials are at the forefront of creative director Andreas Melbostad’s collection, with ripped jeans, soft knitwear, wool coats and shiny leather boots all in the mix. Think: a mash-up of English schoolboy and rugged rockabilly. With an air of sophistication and sensibility to this utilitarian aesthetic, we can’t help but think that a photograph of This Is England‘s Woody sits on the moodboard for AW15. Rips, scruffs, tears, badge embelishments, safety pins, chains and embroidered patches all feature upon a dark and moody palette of deep red, royal blue, charcoal and black. It’s pretty boys with an edge.

Tartan trousers, pin striped blazers, check and houndstooth shirts give the collection punk appeal, whilst cardigans, patterned knitwear and woolen biker jacket make for a cozier ensemble (minus the studded shoulders and industrial zippers, of course). Whilst the models stomped, the sounds of The Wake, Youth Code and Tropic of Cancer soundtrack the show. Who doesn’t like their Monday served with a side of anarchy?
