LOUIS VUITTON SS15 ‘SERIES 2’

Following ‘Series 1’, the winner of the best campaign at the British Fashion Awards, Louis Vuitton bring back Leibovitz, Teller and Weber for round 2.

Annie Leibovitz, Juergen Teller and Bruce Weber translated Nicolas Ghesquière’s vision into an award-winning advertising campaign, so why not do it again? ‘Series 2’ echoes its predecessor for SS15; and the idea is to provoke an international but cohesive view of fashion, through locations and each photographer’s own eye.

The series sees Leibovitz shoot Freja Beha on top of three unfinished skyscrapers, profiling the city from different perspectives, it’s supposed to show us how we can have familiarity but personal takes on clothing. Teller took to a Parisian townhouse to photograph Jean Campbell, Rianne Von Rompaey, Daphne Simons and Marte Mei van Haaster using shadows to make you think about the unknown. Finally Weber sets the scene in Miami with Jennifer Connelly, melding the actress with lines and curves.

‘Series 2’ is all about what the individual brings to fashion, the designer, the photographer and the wearer. Following this campaign, Louis Vuitton have announced Jennifer Connelly as the ‘heroine’ of the fashion house. Expect to see the photos everywhere from February.
