PAUL BARGE STARS IN THE CONTRACT’S ‘COME HOME’

Today we premiere of The Contract’s new video for ‘Come Home’ starring Paul Barge, the new face of McQueen.

The Contract are an alternative hip hop duo. This is the part where we’d usually tell you where they’re from. But they’re not really from anywhere. With rapper Shane Chubbz based in London and rapper/producer DAP in the US, their addresses meet at coordinates somewhere over the Atlantic ocean. The Contract played their debut show at The Saatchi Gallery, alongside Tau Benah, one of the most promising upcoming soul acts we have on the radar in the UK. Their debut release, ‘Joga’ is uplifting and danceable and it’s a refreshing surprise in a UK rap scene that’s currently being led by grime.

The video contrasts warped, trippy landscapes with a clinical, bright white sportswear aesthetic. Set on what appears to be a typical British estate, the flickers of coloured lights transform this concrete jungle into a night time playground. Paul Barge stars with a sultry baby face, we’re not quite sure how he’s achieved that combination but we approve. The new fresh face of McQueen slides effortlessly into his new role having practised his pout on the kind of football field you’d find behind one of these estates anywhere in England for McQueen.
