From leather motorcycle riding-gear origins, to cultural frontrunners and label we are all obsessing about – Chrome Hearts has come a long way since show start in 1988. Mastering handmade jewellery, a clothing line, eyewear, leather goods and handcrafted furniture, defining the brainchild of Richard and Laurie Lynn Stark is no easy feat.

Having opened their first free standing store in New York City in ’96, it only took three years before stores in Tokyo and L.A. followed and since then they have garnered quite the cult following. With a string of collaborations under their belt (including a crystal collection with Baccarat, a partnership with the Robert Mapplethorpe Foundation and design ventures with Comme des Garçons, Rick Owens and Gareth Pugh), their most recent accolade comes in the shape of their concept store in Miami’s vibrant Design District. And what better time to launch this space than during Art Basel?

Creativity runs through the building, with Miami’s second Fahey/Klein Gallery space located upstairs currently showcasing 20th century works by Henri Cartier-Bresson, Herb Ritts, Horst P. Horst, Ellen von Unwerth and Patrick Demarchelier, to name a few. Take a look at the photos, but trust us – a visit is essential.
