Bidding begins tonight on dresses worn by the likes of Kendall Jenner, Zoe Kravitz and Jourdan Dunn to the MET Ball Gala 2014.
From tonight, you have 10 days to battle it out for a celeb-worn couture dress on eBay and all in the name of a good cause. Fingers at the ready girls, get ready to click constantly for a chance to own a hand-made gown and raise money for Fashion Targets Breast Cancer.
The theme of the MET Ball Gala this year was the work of British Couturier Charles James and every dress was made with the wearer in mind. Dresses from Kendall Jenner, Zoe Kravitz, Jourdan Dunn, Toni Garn, Chanel Iman and Magda Palos are all available to win.
Whether you’re buying because you love the design or the celebrity, all the money is going to a worthy cause, Fashion Targets Breast Cancer has raised £13.5 million for Breakthrough Breast Cancer since it’s launch in the UK in 1996. Previous supporters of the campaign include Kate Moss, Mario Testino and Georgia May Jagger.
All we ask is that the winners wear these dresses at all times. Don’t save them for your best occasions, we certainly wouldn’t, whip them out for a trip to the shops, even do the washing-up in them. Look fabulous always and name-drop about the previous owners at every available opportunity. Or maybe keep them in a glass cabinet and charge for your friends to come and have a peek, donating all the profits to Fashion Targets Breast Cancer of course. Either way, it’s up to you.
Be seductive in Chanel Iman’s silver backless dress and swish the train about like you’re the queen of the red-carpet.
Could you imitate Jourdan Dunn’s model behaviour in this striking yellow Chartreuse silk creation? Creating an hourglass shape with netting, this dress is designed to flatter and contour.
Keep up with the Kardashians, literally, in Kendall’s strapless blush dress. The dress is shaped with an intricate internal corset and underlays of netting.
Zoe Kravitz’s oxblood cocktail dress with a plunging neckline has a thigh-high split so remember to wear your best shoes to match.
Toni Garrn’s pale blue double silk Gazar dress features delicate fold detail across the bust back, it’s a bit Disney’s Cinderella, in the best possible way.
Finally, also on offer is Magda Palos’ dress (not pictured) – Sir Philip & Lady Tina Green ‘s Daughter in Law. The rose pink strapless bandeau prom dress features a pleat detail alongside the left and right panels of the bodice to emphasise a nipped in waist silhouette. Feel like you’re part of the Topshop Royal Family.
