Everything But The Girl – Missing – Todd Terry Mix

Before Todd’s remix EBTG were well known for Jazz-Folk music but this remix was the dance record of the summer worldwide and catapulted them into the mainstream.

Tori Amos – Professional Widow – Armand Van Helden remix

One of the catchiest dance records you will ever hear. It’s quite cheeky too, due to the rude hook loop. Armand really turned this out in a big, big way, so much so that the original is barely recognisable.

Cornershop – Brimful of Asha- Norman Cook remix

It became a 1997 summer anthem and Norman Cook (aka Fat Boy Slim) tuned this huge big beat remix out. This was re-released and became a number 1 hit in the UK and in many other countries.

Delerium – Silence – Tiesto remix

This is one of my fave trance anthems of all time. It is impossible not to love this record, even my mother loves it. And the vocal? Sheer goosebumps.

Mansun – Wide-open space- Perfecto mix

Paul Oakenfold at his very best. I used to adore this remix as a kid. My older brother gave it on me on a mixed comp CD. Love this.

Mariah Carey – Dreamlover – Def Club Mix

David Morales doing the damage. This at the time was a very special era, before this, remixes hadn’t ever been done like this. David set the bar very high. He even had Mariah come into his NYC studio to re-record some vocals. Genius.

Jaydee – Plastic Dreams – Long Version

Not really a remix but very essential to get this one down on here; the long version was always the best. One of the biggest dance classics of all time – I still play this and people go insane for such a classic.

Rhythim is Rhythim – Strings of life – The piano mix

Detroit vibes in the house. I recently met Derrick in Budapest and what a lovely guy he was. As soon as the pianos come in with the strings. Ouch!!

Bizarre Inc – Playing with Knives –Quadrant Park remix

Although l was only 9 at the time, this was such a huge inspiration for me in dance music. This was hammered all over the world and still sounds so fresh to this day. I actually own the original “Vinyl Solution” record at home; a simple record that delivers.
