Perfect pre-weekend noise from Elicit, who’s new track ‘I Wanna Be Your Lover’, get’s a re-working from UK producer Crissy Criss.
The latest signing to recently debuted Sony record label imprint Pitched Up / RME*, multi – genre producer ELICIT has recently debuted his take on the 1979 Prince classic I Wanna Be Your Lover.
We’d be fools for thinking that ELICIT was a new player in the music game. He can boast an applaudable CV – working with a diverse range of artists as well as some of the most iconic names from the grime and hip-hop community across both sides of the pond, including Azealia Banks and JME.
Already being championed by 1 Xtra’s Mistajam and with strong support across the 1Xtra network, I Wanna Be Your Lover will be the first solo release from ‘Elicit’ on the newly formed Pitched UP label, as he works towards his first EP.
We’re completely in love with the original edit from the North London DJ /producer, and Crissy Criss’s EDM laced, high octane electro take on the track elevates it to new levels. Turn it up loud – it’s nearly the weekend.
