The new Nike X Pedro Lourenço collaboration will effortlessly take you from gym to street in style.
What happens when you cross Karlie Kloss, sporstwear and Brazillian flair? Nike’s latest collaboration with designer Pedro Lourenco is exactly that, combining high performance sportswear with a serious luxury aesthetic. The collection launched last night in New York, at an event hosted by Mark Parker, Nike X Pedro Lourenco has got us excited to hit the gym.
With more of us wanting to look on point while we work up a sweat, and invest in active wear that can have a double life away from exercise, this exciting collaboration makes perfect sense. Ad campaign star Karlie Kloss let her enviable physique do the talking, adding a final fashion seal of approval to this already outstandingly cool capsule.
Featuring three looks and two footwear options, the collection combines Nike’s pure sporting technology with Lourenco’s design talent. The play on proportion, shape and texture are women throughout, with items like a neoprene jacket crafted according to 1960’s couture techniques offering stylish gym to street versatility in Nike’s legendary Dri-FIT fabrics.
Understated techniques such as the gradient flocking in black and nude serve to look good, as well as highlight areas of increased ‘breathability’, in a way that perfectly combines Nike’s technological acumen with Pedro Lourenco’s eye for the subtly stylish.
Available globally from the 13th of November in selected NikeLab and NikeLab DSM stores, as well as online from nike.com/nikelab, prepare for your workout to get a lot better looking.
