As a band that packed out The Seabright Arms after the release of their debut single, Saint Agnes had a lot to live up to with their next offering. Released via London label Energy Snake Records, ‘A Beautiful Day for Murder’ and it’s B-side ‘Where the Lightning Strikes’ showcase gritty Rock N Roll at its best.

Immediately bonding over musical influences, founding members Kitty Austen and Jon Tufnell met whilst playing in other bands. Now joined by Matt Devine and Ben Chernett on bass and drums, few new artists can rival the duo’s onstage chemistry.

Very much a DIY band, Saint Agnes use their own East London studio to record and produce their music. And the video for our premiere of ‘Where The Lightning Strikes’? They directed that too.

With everything from organs to guitars to harmonicas, ‘Where The Lightning Strikes’ is sleazy perfection. Where does the lighting strike? Right in our hearts, if Saint Agnes have anything to do with it.
