The SS15 Celine woman was multi-faceted and dynamic, there was something for everyone, simple of complex the collection has it all. Tunic tops were met by cut-out sides and peeping shoulders, hemlines were met by oversized fringing, military hued coats were detailed with metallic panelling, trousers were subtly flared and hung at the ankle, jackets were belted with visible stitching and sleeves were stiff and oversized. Meanwhile prints exploded upon seventies driven dresses and when it came to footwear, flats were in favour with dresses, trousers and jumpsuits alike. Whilst the models walked, the heartfelt sound of Kate Bush’s emotive track ‘This Woman’s Work’ permeated the air on loop, coinciding with the end of her UK tour. This woman’s work: this was Phoebe Philo’s work, of art.
