Hyped as the next soul sensation, Son Little has not only had his debut single “Your Love Will Blow Me Away When My Heart Aches” championed by Zane Lowe and Huw Stephens on BBC Radio 1, but also completed a U.S tour with Kelis. A child of hip-hop, the neo-soul-blues-hip-hop persona of former Roots and RJD2 collaborator Aaron Livingston – takes on reality as a series of samples, genetic building blocks that connect in strange and miraculous ways.

Back with a new track, “The River”, premiered on Wonderland today along with two remixes one by Amazon and one by Styx, Little provides us with an ode to the Rhythm and Blues of the Deep South, citing a blend of influences which he describes as a “Wu-Tang sea shanty with the Beatles on background vocals”.

After kicking up quite the fuss with his U.S tour, it’s now time for the U.K to take heed, Little by Little.
