CLUB MONACO MEN’S SHOP

Making their London menswear debut, Club Monaco invite us for a tour around their new ‘Men’s Shop’ on Redchurch Street, Shoreditch

Redchurch 8

So much more than just a retail space, Club Monaco have opened their first menswear store in East London’s Shoreditch, heavily influenced by the 1800‘s.

Formerly the home to the renowned Watson Bros rifle manufacturing workshop, the utilitarian feel of the original store has been retained throughout, despite its new guise. From the brass door and the tools and rifle castings scattered throughout the building, to the finer details, like the original Watson Bro’s tissue paper, once used to enclose guns and now used to package the Club Monaco clothes – detail is key for Club Monaco’s ‘Men’s Shop’.

Introducing new fixtures to this historical premises, the downstairs of the store hosts hand sourced vintage furniture, Californian rough glazed brick tiles and a Twig light fixture whilst the second floor is entirely traditional, featuring antique rugs, vintage haberdashery, vintage showcases and a finely curated selection of American bourbons. The gentlemanly second floor also hosts Club Monaco’s impeccable made to measure service, set to be insanely popular with London’s increasingly fashion savvy male population.

The store also offers an eclectic assortment of Club Monaco’s Makers & Muse designer collaborations, limited edition ranges, exclusive products and third party brands, as well as the aforementioned vintage sourced items. Taking heritage as inspiration, each month the Makers & Muse series will see the brand partner with a new Maker or Muse on a range of exclusive products, current collaborations are with Vancouver’s Reigning Champ, Golden Bear sportswear, cult USA running brand Saucony, English brand Grenson and hand crafted footwear brand Allen Edmonds.

The new store is located at 54 Redchurch Street, E2.
