Wennink is the birth child of London-based singer and writer Oliver Wennink, a project which encapsulates his own brand of fragile piano-synth electronica.

His eponymous EP was the result of long days and nights locked up in his Brixton studio, a musical haven of Wennink where he creates sounds influenced by the like of Four Tet, James Blake and Atoms For Peace. The dreamy natural vocals met with the electronic sounds give the whole piece a feel of juxtaposed perfection.

For the video of his latest single ‘Hard & Square’, he assigned the help of already critically acclaimed Antonie Wagner, a director who became known for his role as the co-director of Phoenix’s tour documentary ‘A Mess To The Masses’. For ‘Hard & Here’, Wagner draws influence from vintage films to create a jumpy black and white journey which follows the video’s protagonist Wennink, succeeding in capturing the songs mysterious darkness and angst-fuelled feel.
