PREMIERE: THE MISPERS – “DARK BITS EP”

We premiere the new “Dark Bits EP”, a dreamy blend of guitar fuelled alt-rock, from The Mispers

The Mispers Press shot

After being signed by B-Unique, The Mispers (police slang for a missing person) have been set for great things. They started by selling out nine London shows, undertaking a successful European tour and enjoying a support slot for Saint Raymond. Now, the band have released their sensational “Dark Bits EP”, a dreamy blend of guitar fuelled alt-rock, quivering vocals with the added catchiness of a pop track.

On making the EP, lead-singer Jack Balfour-Scott said: “We have a natural tendency to go to a dark place with lyrics but we try to avoid it”, before adding “The Mispers might be a sad idea – someone going missing, but we think of it as a happy thing. We all come from different parts of the world and have gone missing together”.

With up-coming festival slots at Cumbria’s Kendall Calling and Germany’s Haldern Pop Festival, the band seem set to carry on with their rapid rise to widespread recognition. Another EP will come in November just before the release of their debut album slated for release in 2015, so there’s lots of exciting things to come from this dreamy and unique band. Today we premiere “Dark Bits” exclusively on Wonderland.
