Sportswear influences, knitwear, sheer layers and a dash of sparkle. Jonathan Saunders reveals his SS15 Resort Collection

With chunky knits, raincoats, and silks aplenty, Jonathan Saunders’ SS15 Resort collection is set to be comfortable and practical, whilst looking looking super chic at the same time. Once again, the Scotsman has delivered a delectable dose of womenswear.

The collection is filled with smart tailored jackets, whilst sportswear influences are seen in a waterproof macs and lose trousers with a go faster stripe down the side. Dressier additions to the collection include a sheer knee length dress, screen printed with splattered paint. And that’s not the only place this Pollock-esque design appears.

Cinched waists run throughout the collection, from oversized macs and jumpers to evening dresses whilst metallic fabrics give the collection a space age feel, appearing on a long sleeved dress with ruched sleeves.

Saunders makes corporate dressing much more exciting with an asymmetrical skirt with a double-breasted jacket and a palette of camel, ochre and mustard compliments sheer blacks that are then livened up with a dash of sparkle. V-necks are accompanied by triangular colour blocking and screen-printed silk diamond patterns give a fresh take on co-ords. And of course, what Jonathan Saunders collection would be complete without knitwear. This collection has been woven with stripes, which have also made their way to pattern coats and jackets.

There is no doubt about it, this collection is quintessentially Saunders.
