From blinding flag-prints to soda-can fizz, Scott has provided us with another appetising visual feast and everyone’s left wanting a taste
Wonderland.
LC: M: Moschino SS15
Union Jack prints, acid smilies, Coca-Cola style Moschino branding, gold diamond encrusted dolla-dolla signs, dreadlocked models, Fauxschino crystal studded capes, sky scraper heels, a canary yellow tux, flesh baring all-branded mesh and enough gold heavy-wear to sink a ship – we’re talking about Moschino, darling!
Making his London debut, Jeremy Scott presented us with yet another bold all branded pop-culture fiasco. Logo-mania, euro trash, call it what you will, it was a continuation of the brands signature rebellion, in perfect synch with today’s youth. Satirising the brand name, emblazoning ‘Fauxshino’ across hooded black capes and long-tailed headwear, the show saw both menswear and a selection of womenswear Resort pieces explode before the public eye, or maybe camera lens would be more fitting.
Stand out pieces, although there’s no doubt they all make an aggressive statement, included soda-pop can slogan inspired suits, baseball boots, sliders, duffle bags and rain macs, each complete with a calorie counter leaving us wonder what the recommended daily intake of Moschino is… We’re guessing that it depends on your budget.
Of course the iconic Moschino belt was in attendance, also re-imagined in the form of print checkered upon lavish black silk and a three-piece suit. That’s right, shirt, trousers and jacket – all Moschino everything. Excess was a re-occurring theme throughout with gold diamond encrusted dolla-dolla signs making a repeat performance placed upon leather and denim. Of course, following Scott’s fast-food ‘I want it all and I want it now fiasco’, we wouldn’t have expected anything less.
From blinding flag-prints to soda-can fizz, Scott has provided us with another appetising visual feast and everyone’s left wanting a taste.
In true Moschino style, following the show guests descended upon Café de Paris for the Moschino LC:M After Party host by i-D magazine, for a raucous celebration of the brand. Whilst Lindsey Lohan was dancing on tables and smoking inside the club, attendees enjoyed frozen Patrón Margaritas, Patrón Raspberry Margaritas and Patrón Paloma cocktails. It’s safe to say Moschino hit-up London with a bang.
