Country-pop pioneers Millers Daughter take on Future Islands for an exclusive Wonderland Session.
With the British summer time soon to see a colossal influx of Stateside Country sounds courtesy of the legendary Dolly Parton headlining Glastonbury next week, we look to what the UK has to offer.
Allow us to introduce you to Wiltshire based mirror twins Christie and Louise Miller AKA Millers Daughter, who take on the sort of big, bright and breezy, country-tinged pop songs with crystalline melodies, mountain-air pure harmonies and solid gold choruses that you thought they didn’t make anymore. Comparisons to The Pierces, First Aid Kit and The Cranberries are rife as the self-taught musicianship really excels itself during their live sets. We spent the afternoon with the girls as they gave us an exclusive performance of Future Islands track ‘Seasons’.
Catch Millers Daughter live as they play The Half Moon, Putney on June 30th.
The new single ‘Undeniable’ is out soon. Find out more here.
