Heritage led footwear brand Palladium have been putting their canvas and rubber expertise to use since 1920, but their work transcends the possibilities of just footwear. Now on their tenth chapter, their Palladium Boots Explorer Series creative campaign has seen them collaborate with some of the world’s most well respected musicians, artists and fashion tastemakers to uncover hidden local cultures through exclusive and original film and photography content.

Taking to Manchester, the latest instalment in the series the brand partner with iconic menswear store Oi Polloi, for a snapshot of Manchester from the inside out, uncovering the city’s acid house scene in the late 1980’s from the viewpoint of store opener, Steve Sanderson.

On our tour of Manchester we encounter football and acid house, the social movements which Sanderson references as integral in defining Oi Polloi and twelve years on, the brand is still renowned for quality led outdoor clothing. It’s no surprise Esquire magazine voted Oi Polloi as the Best Independent Menswear Shop in Britain last month.
