Pharrell Williams lets his creativity run loose on ten pairs of iconic adidas Stan Smith’s
Forever spotted with a pair of Stan Smith’s on his feet, Pharrell Williams has taken part in a collaborative project with Paris based boutique Collete, in aid of One Hand To another charity.
Letting his creativity run loose on ten pairs of the iconic staples, the mish-mash designs brandished on the Stan Smith’s range from crayon-filled arrows, metallic gold toe-caps and child-like daises to the slogans – ‘Power’, ‘Higher’, ‘Oh Baby’, ‘Eat Pizza’ and ‘Crush’ – hand drawn across white leather in Crayola birghts.
With each of the ten designs hand-customised by Pharrell himself, the naïve quality gives them a unique appeal like no other. But of course they come at a price, €500 to be more precise, but with all profit donated to charity who can complain? Whilst this installment has launched in Paris today, we’re happy to reveal that there are further products from the adidas X Pharrell Williams collaboration set to drop this summer.
