PLAYLIST: SASHA KEABLE

Soulful London vocalist Sasha Keable gives us an insight into what’s on her personal playlist.

SASHA KEABLE

Emerging singer/songwriter Sasha Keable has been on the lips of every tastemaker ever since we were introduced to her via her guest feature on Disclosure’s ‘Voices‘. Her recently released EP,’Lemongrass And Lime Leaves‘, shows off even more of her RnB and Soul influences as well as displaying her musicality to full effect. We’re loving the fantastic mix of pop synths and 80’s vibes on new single ‘Living Without You’ so sat down with pop’s newest princess as she kindly gave us an insight into what sounds she has on loop and just why they are so poignant.

Nakamarra – Hiatus Kaiyote

“Why? It makes me think of summer”

Dread Rastafari – Sly & Robbie

“Why? It reminds me of being at Rotomtom Festival”

Life’s a bitch – Nas

“Why? ‘Cause life’s a bitch and sometimes you need to be reminded of that”

Hustle – Slum Village

“Why? ‘Cause it’s groovy, it has a great groove”

You’re not good enough – Blood Orange

“Why? Because it reminds me of my ex, ha!”
