Iconic Russian jewellers Fabergé team up with Harrods to celebrate Easter.
From the 1st to the 21st of April, Fabergé will transform Harrods, ‘Fabergé Easter’ will take over the department store setting up an exquisite Fabergé salon and exhibition space. The infamous Brompton Road window and façade will be dressed in Fabergé flags, telling the legendary jewellery houses story.
Fabergé have also teamed up with petite fashionista Miroslava Duma, the brands new ambassador. Miroslava will launch the ‘Fabergé Cinescope’, an interactive social media led experience that celebrates the world of Fabergé. Visitors will be able to try on Fabergé jewellery through a digital mirror and create an animated portrait of themselves that they can then share across their social media.
The animation is based on the Victorian optical illusion trompe-l’oeil, two images are placed on either side of the disk creating an illusion of one image when rotated quickly. The animation (below) will also feature in the Brompton Road window display.
Harrods will also roof a luxurious pop-up salon featuring Fabergé jewellery collections and an interactive digital lounge giving you the chance to style and share the jewels. An exhibition space will present a host of historic pieces including the original 1901 Fabergé Apple Blossom Egg never before seen in the UK.
