PREMIERE: RMOURS – “REBELS”

We get an exclusive look at the brand new video from London’s newest emerging alt-pop duo, Rmours

Annie Freier and James Allman produce an applaudable amount of noise considering there is just the two of them.

The duo – AKA Rmours have just released their latest indie-pop offering ‘Rebels’, which is a favourable follow-up from it’s predecessor ‘Cash Machine. Freier’s uncertain, fragile vocals are swept aside against the rapid rush of the Drum’n’Bass undercurrent which is introduced when the chorus creeps. This is the sort of stuff that Joanna Newsom would make if she ever thought it was a great idea to drop an electro offering with a BPM of 180.

The tracks killer production and empowering vocals are undoubtedly part of the reason why comparisons to Feist and Florence & The Machine have been rife. We kind of think it sounds like the lovechild of The Ting Tings and Wilkinson.
