Adidas celebrate the return of the iconic Stan Smith trainer by collaborating with photographer Bella Howard and stylist Pandora Lennard.
Where once the front row at fashion week would be a line of heeled stilettos, over recent years trainers have become one of the most coveted high fashion items. Even in the latest Chanel couture show all the models wore sneakers, and where the last few years have seen a wave of eccentric neon runners, 2014 it’s the year of the simple classic trainer, the Adidas Stan Smith.
The Stan Smith dates way back to the 70’s when Stan started wearing the first leather tennis shoes. Over the years the trainers have seen a wave of different styles and colour ways but the classic white with green accents remains iconic.
For the re-launch of the infamous shoe – which has sold over 40 million pairs world wide – Adidas have collaborated with infamous female talents, photographer Bella Howard and stylist Pandora Lennard to showcase the Stan Smith as the must have female staple shoe it has become.
