We take a look at Marni’s Pre-Fall 2014 womenswear collection.
Marni began as a fur house in 1944, and if their Pre-Fall 2014 collection proves anything, it’s that they are still a reliable source for fur today. Fur stoles were draped across the body and tied around the neck in exaggerated knots all in shades of brown, black and blue; even trench coat collars were adorned with fur.
The overall feel was Castiglioni’s personal take on femininity with a silhouette that’s relaxed and elongated with the waist cut high. Other outfits were more urban-casual with floral separates.
Wrapped up in cocoon like layers of fur, sheepskin and brocade the Marni woman is fully prepared for the transitional season.
