Before Christmas our friends at Nokia hosted a screening of their new film ‘Harlem, a poetry lesson: By Nokia Lumia 1020’ directed by legendary photographer Bruce Weber.
The self-directed documentary ‘Harlem, a poetry lesson: By Nokia Lumia 1020’ chronicles Bruce Weber on a journey round his favourite neighbourhood Harlem with iconic photographer and close friend David Bailey. The 20 minute documentary shows the heart and soul of one of New Yorks most famous areas. From rappers to street dancers Weber captures the vibrant and diverse community within the district.
Filming the whole documentary on the Nokia Lumia 1020 Weber explains ‘This is the first time that I have used a mobile phone for my work. Nokia has created a smartphone which not only matches the capabilities of many high-end cameras, but in most cases surpasses them.’ With 41 megapixels, Zeiss Optics and optimised image stabilization the Nokia Lumia 1020 establishes a new benchmark in smartphone imaging.
