Strength VS Fragility. Diesel Black Gold show at NYFW

Andreas Melbostad’s second season for Diesel Black Gold saw the collection combine elements from two opposing worlds. Strength and Fragility. Strength came in the way of metal eyelets, discs, zippers, buckles and hardware accents for a range of pieces from leather to georgette. These were mixed cleverly with lighter, softer materials including silk crepe de chine, silk georgette, cotton poplin and cotton voile to juxtapose against the collection’s utilitarian core of leather and denim.

These leather lace-up trousers, give us lots of life.

 As do french braids.
