In an exclusive first look, Lazy Oaf gives a rude girl punch for it’s Autumn ’13 collection lookbook.
Amidst piles of leaves and smokestacks comes an Autumn babe that’s smokin’ in her own right. The Autumn ’13 collection lookbook from Lazy Oaf shows the seasonal Nineties nostalgia trends with zany prints and sporty silhouettes, but with a signature brand twist. For Lazy Oaf, it’s all about the hip, lollipop-licking rude gals, equipped with long, bedazzled nails, enormous hoop earrings and brains to match. In line with this rude gal’s more vampy autumn attitude, the colour palette of the collection consists of deep blacks, bright reds and antique golds.
Referencing this hip chick’s smartpants ways, the collection deviates from the brand’s usual ironic fast food prints, instead embracing prints with more historical significance, such as the Caesar bear motif of Roman mythology or psychedelic Aztec patterns that cascade down cropped sweats, leggings and figure-hugging jersey dresses. But if there is one statement piece, it’s the fluff-to-the-touch “In Da Hood” cropped hooded jackets, that truly brings this hypnotic street beats collection full circle.
