Not everybody gets to celebrate their birthday at Battersea Power Station, but it’s a different story when you’re Superdry.

What did you do for your tenth birthday? Getting into a fight with your best friend at your McDonald’s party and then crying because your parents didn’t get you a Tamagotchi? Yeah, us too. Not everyone gets to throw a birthday party in the impressive hulk of Battersea Power Station, but then most people aren’t hugely successful and internationally recognised labels like Superdry.

Directors and co-founders Julian Dunkerton and James Holder played host to the celebration, which saw neo-shoegaze favourites Coves soundtrack an exclusive runway show of Superdry’s SS14 collection. Obviously, this being Britain, the weather didn’t hold up, so people drank themselves warm on apricot Mai Tais and Dark ‘n’ Stormy cocktails and snacked on fried chicken and hot dogs from Motherclucker and Engine street food vans. Although we didn’t eat that much fried chicken (promise) – going by their collection, SS14 seems to be all about baring your pins and summertime skin. If only the weather would oblige…
