And so to the last show of this year’s collections, both a tricky and a tempting spot to fill in the calendar. Tricky because you know everyone in attendance is knackered and all too ready to get drunk. Tempting because of the people it can attract and the fact that you can’t help but feel the shows are building up to one big finale.
And JD sports fan Nasir’s first big catwalk show was certainly a finale. Bucket-headed brilliance (we kid you not), streetwear, backpacks and a whole pile of swag had the tracksuited front row nodding along and snapping appreciatively in sync. Mr Mazhar sure knows how to cater for his customers.
Special mention must go to the pink towelled tracksuits. Part urban cool and part onesie they were brash, bold and proudly emblazoned with the Nasir Mazhar logo. Other highlights included that bucket hat and sequinned jerseys. This collection was loud and humorous and very Nasir. The perfect end to the London collections.
