The lovely Paulina Heiler from Viva London has fulfilled her Dolce & Gabbana dream. She popped by to chat about it.
Age: Almost 19
Hometown: Legnica, Poland
I was scouted: When I was 13, I was very shy & not confident about the way I looked. But my Mum kept pushing me to compete in Miss Teenager Poland, which I won. I then met someone who worked at an modelling agency, so I went there & they really liked me.
Favourite childhood memory: My first trip to Barcelona with my Mum. It was the first time I’d ever been on a plane, which was really cool.
Favourite place in the world: Morocco
Dream destination: New York, my visa is almost ready!
Hobbies: I think because of modelling I’ve lost quite a lot of hobbies. I love to spend time with people I love, especially as I’m not in my hometown a lot. I also like singing & playing the guitar.
Current Obsession: Books, especially buying books. One day I want a big book case.
Fear: I don’t like spiders or snakes — I once had to shoot with a boa!
Guilty pleasure: Cigarettes
Favourite food: I love traditional polish food.
Dream dinner date: Marilyn Monroe — she was so charismatic & powerful. I would love to know how it all happened.
Favourite movie: Untouchable
Least favourite movie: Titanic, I hated it.
Favourite superhero: Catwoman
First gig: I’ve never been to one.
Favourite music: Really depends on my mood. I love pop, rock, reggae…
Most treasured possession: A ring my mother gave me for my 18th birthday. It was my grandmother’s. I never met her as she died before I was born.
Dream job: Walking the haute couture show for Dolce & Gabbana was one of them, and I would love to be a Victoria Secret Angel.
Career highlight so far: The Dolce & Gabbana show was amazing. I enjoy shows more than shoots as it’s a moment to be different — everyone is looking at you and you can really make your mark. It’s also a nice chance to catch up with friends. Last season I walked Paris, Milan & London, so hopefully this season I can do New York too.
Myself in three words: Emotional, honest & so messy!
If I could have one wish: To have the people I love close to me.
