LONDON FASHION WEEK – JASPER CONRAN

Some might say that sticking to what you know is predictable; unless of course you’re Jasper Conran, who sticks to what he knows and does it perfectly.

Numerous notables and key industry players flocked to the front row to watch Conran’s latest quintessential offering of timeless pieces. Every showgoer turned dewy-eyed, positively bewitched from the moment Conran’s soundtrack of “Oh, love to you love you baby” began.

An innumerable amount of textures were revealed; tops and coats made from cashmere, mohair and fringes contrasted against sleek pleated skirts and streamlined trousers. The designer stuck to confident, yet understated, tones of tan, cocoa, grey and black, allowing the various textures to take the limelight.

Twinkling dresses embellished with sequins and glitter injected some semblance of glamour to the collection, leaving the more red carpet hungry among the crowd extremely well fed.

The final dress took to the catwalk and the spell that Conran cast over us finally relinquished, leaving us yearning for more.
