On Friday, Wonderland journeyed deep into the musky recesses of London Fashion Week’s backstage quarters to uncover all that is eww-y, glam, nerve-jangling and face-lifted at its heavily protected core.
At Bora Aksu’s show at the BFC Courtyard, glum-mugged models waited to be vaccuum packed into puffy orange and pink-hued dresses. Later at Felder and Felder’s show in the same space, things were less awry as girls were fitted with tasteful, 70s housewife-style attire.
Basso and Brooke’s print-splashed showcase at Goldsmiths College was criminally overshadowed by a disastrous series of events, as the Central Saint Martins lot tripped, split and spilt their way through proceedings (culminating in a shoe breaking in two midway through. Crumbs!).
Watch out for more backstage coverage later in the week.
