SHE’S A KICK ASS MODEL

For a 5’8 girl Cara has exceeded expectations in the modelling sphere. Multiple campaigns and catwalks with Burberry, Chanel, Moschino, Fendi, Givenchy, and many others have proved that this girl is highly sought after in the fashion world.

HER UNLIMITED TALENT

There’s always something else Cara can do. Modelling just wasn’t enough for her, she told Vogue, “modelling is the opposite of real”. Modelling, singing, acting – what can’t Cara do?

Those strong, bold, expressive, angular eyebrows that have taken the world by storm. Tweezers have been replaced with YouTube tutorials on “How to get Cara Delevingne’s eyebrows”, whilst millions have flocked to the store to buy whatever eyebrow enhancing products they can find.

Under the spotlight on a daily basis Cara Delevingne refuses to let the media control who she is. She recently tweeted “I don’t feel like I need to apologize for being human #sorrynotsorry”. You go girl.

HER ATTITUDE  

With the stigma around modelling being very ‘easy’ it’s not surprising that Cara hates it when people assume she doesn’t work for what she has achieved. Last month’s Good Day Sacramento interview with the model was quite frankly, very awkward and unpleasant to watch. When the interviewer asked her a patronising question (if she has even read the book for Paper Towns, a new movie she stars in) Cara subtly snaps back with just the right amount of sass.

HER PERFORMANCE IN PAPER TOWNS

From modelling to acting Cara seems to excel at it all. Paper Towns, adapted from John Green’s bestselling novel, is a comedy-drama film in which Quentin (Nat) and his friends embark on a journey towards finding a missing teenage girl, Margo (Cara). A massive hit, this production has given us yet another reason to love her – SHE REALLY CAN ACT.

HER BEATBOXING

Yet another talent, of course. Cara performed some super beatboxing on Jimmy Fallon’s The Tonight Show and at this point everyone actually sat down and asked “What can’t this girl do?”. Probably nothing.

Vanity and shallowness are a common trait on the catwalk. Delevingne, on the other hand, promotes self-love, confidence, and modesty. Telling her Twitter followers that “Imperfections turn me on”, Cara is quite the role model.

The recent tragedy with the murder of the Cecil the Lion has initiated massive protests and international discontent. Delevingne has joined forces with the WILDCRU and put her watch on auction to raise money for the organisation and its protection of wildlife.

It didn’t take long for Pharrell’s Vivienne Westwood hat to become a thing and we’re hoping the same will happen with the emerald green knee high lace-up boots he sports in the latest Chanel campaign, starring alongside Cara Delevingne. The duo appeared in Chanel’s own fairytale video as part of Métiers D’art Paris-Salzburg late last year, so it’s no surprise that they’re back for round two, modelling the collection. Cara released an image from the campaign on her Instagram yesterday.

Cara’s got her trademark eyebrows teamed with dark make-up to complement the military look with a thick jacket and ribboned shoes. Pharrell’s looking younger than ever (how?!) despite being kitted out in a heavy knit granddad cardie with a super sweet daffodil patch. Following on from the film based around a meeting between Gabrielle Chanel and a lift attendant who inspired the iconic Chanel jacket, it would appear the campaign in set in a hotel room typical of the 1950s Austro-Hungarian period.

There’s even a cherubic golden-haired boy in lederhosen. Hats off to you Mr Lagerfeld, the attention to detail is infallible as always.
