Brighton-Bound

Sometimes things work out really well, and other times they don’t. This weekend they did.

At 7pm, Friday night, a colourful group of party-goers met at Victoria Station to board a private Brighton-bound train.

The crazy fun started at The Royal Pavilion, a beautiful building in Brighton’s Pavilion Gardens. Plenty of gin & tonics and wine were circulated to wash down the curry and samosas. Mandi Lennard was particularly enamored with the samosa’s yogurt dip — she described the experience, when you scooped up some pomegranate within the dip, as ’stunning.’

Then we headed to HQ at Brighton Dome for Matthew Stone’s Hard Future night. Performances by Alex Nikiporenko and Matthew Stone; and The Theo Adams Company, had the already high-spirited crowd wooping.

Prada Book Launch

Tonight Miuccia Prada launched her cardinal book to London. It weighs in at £100 on the tills, and is only suitable for those with coffee tables able to withstand the burden of the Italian label’s grand reportage. Said book was given an illustrious reception, at the Old Bond Street store. And, just in cast we needed any reminding how efficacious Prada is, we saw a fabulously fun party - that proved a welcomed destination for the evening. We were all there: left, and middle pic, are the Wonderland team; far right you can see Helen and Mandi Lennard - who said the canapes were amazing! And they were. She also said that her and Helen look like twins with different coloured wigs. Love it.

I’m Watching You

mandi-crow

A flock of crows descended upon the Mandi Lennard press day today and sat guard. They particularly watched over Roksanda Illinic’s sumptuous gowns; the Melissa shoes by Vivienne Westwood, which I ordered in blue; Gareth Pugh’s men and womenswear; and Henry Holland’s collection, which was housed in a house. Typical Henry.
