Film maker Takeshi Kitano is something of a celebrity in his native Japan being an actor, presenter, musician, singer and poet - a jack of all trades, if you like!  From tomorrow he takes to the Fondation Cartier for a special exhibition that will run for the next six months showcasing his artistic talents.  With a site-specific installation, the exhibition will thrill all who see it and for fans of his film work, be sure to visit Centre Pompidou between March 11th and June 21st for a retrospective of his film work.

Graffiti artists from around the globe have gathered in Paris to present an unprecedented exhibition of street art.  Born in the Streets – Graffiti is an exploration of the history of the graffiti movement from ‘70s New York to the present day with a presentation of photographs, films and sketches.  Site-specific installations from international artists will rotate to extenuate the global impact of the graffiti phenomenon and will feature work by Santiago’s Basco-Vazko, Parisian artist Oliver Kosta-Thefaine, Stokholm’s Nug, Hong Kong’s Evan Roth and Vitche from Sao Paulo.   The exhibition occupies a substantial 1200 square meters of space within Jean Nouvel’s glass building and runs from today till the end of November.
