Matches: Press Day

An accessories destination for next season is Matches. We loved them, and so did Alice (pictured). She is holding up some delicious Christian Louboutin heel, and a scrumptious CL bag, while on the phone to her colleagues who are stuck in New York. I think it is a mixture of ‘poor them’ and ‘lucky them.’

For A/W10-11 Matches will also be stocking some vintage Chanel jewels and bags; some sherling lined biker boots, from Burberry, and a great selection from Carven.

The mini cheese rolls were delicious and scrumptious too.

Burberry are staying in London this fashion week, which is really good news. But for those unable to attend London Fashion Week, the British brand will stream their LFW show live in 3D to simultaneous events globally.

“This unprecedented event will enable people to experience the energy and atmosphere of this showfrom around the world. 3D technology will bring our global audience into the London show space allowing them to see the colours and fabrics, to hear the music and to be a part of that moment when it all finally comes together.” Said Christopher Bailey, Chief Creative Officer.

Former Burberry model, Hugh Dancy, takes the lead in one of the big hits from this year’s Sundance Film Festival in Adam.  A sweet tale about a young man who suffers from Asperger’s Syndrome, Rose Byrne co-stars as his love interest and the pair try to make their relationship work, while Peter ‘look-at-those-eyebrows’ Gallacher plays Byrne’s disapproving father.  An interesting analysis of relationships in general, this quirky romantic comedy serves as a reminder for the extra understanding all relationships take to succeed.
