Sometimes you want to say things when you know that you shouldn’t. With the new ‘Be Stupid’ bag from Diesel, it’s now possible to customise a canvas bag with all manner of words (some a little on the risque side) which can be put in whatever order you want and thus get a message across without even needing to open your mouth. Levi’s today launch the new Levi’s Curve ID designs across Europe (”It’s a bit like the Eurovision Song Contest or something!” said the Levi’s flagship store manager on London’s Regent Street “The launch is happening in the UK, France, Italy - Everywhere!”). Having scanned 60,000 women, Levi’s have determined the three most common shapes with the Slight Curve (modeled by Lykke Li), Demi Curve (modeled by Pixie Geldof) and Bold Curve (modeled by Kristin Schort) offering different fits. No, we hadn’t really heard of Lykke Li or Krisin Schrot either, but they are pretty big on the conitnent with Swedish Lykke soon to release her second album and Kristin taking over clubs with her DJ persona Miss Nine (as well as being a model) but all three personalities look great in the new campaign. Pixie is pretty hilarious with her revelations of Levi’s love and music career plans which can be seen in her behind-the-scenes video which you can find here. At todays launch, everyone was in agreement that the jeans fit like they never have before. A line up of models were on hand wearing each of the shapes relevant to them and they all agreed they were the most perfect jeans to date. One fellow blogger in attendance at the launch was so delighted with the fit of the jeans she decided she would be able to wear them for the first time in three years. Italian fashion brand, Sisley, have launched a new initiative to customise 18 different motorcycle jackets from their line to be auctioned to raise money for The Andy Warhol Museum - where the jackets will also be exhibited. 17 different contemporary artists have been invited to amend the Sisley jacket for the “Film, Fame and Fifteen Minutes” exhibition that will open on October 30th - marking fifteen years of the museum in Pittsburg. Ahead of the auction and exhibition, the customised jackets will be unveiled at Palazzo Bovara as part of Milan Fashion Week on September 22nd.

Normally behind the camera for shooting Katy-Perry-Teenage-Dream style shoots with incredibly good looking people, Bruce Weber has been lending his talents to furniture company Dedon for their latest campaign. Weber’s father worked in the furniture business so Weber has a long appreciation for furniture and realises that “when you move from place to place in your life, it’s the furniture that goes with you” - if only the same could be said about his models (they’d always be welcome to come round for a cup of tea). There is also a book titled Coming Home, available now, which contains the images from the campaign.

The 2010 Venice Biennale of Architecture began over the weekend in the World’s most famous water logged city. As part of the festival, Fendi have teamed with New York architects Aranda\Lasch in a project which began on August 29th in Venice and will be completed at the 2010 Design Miami in December. The project titled Modern Primitives is made of foam structures which visitors are encouraged to touch and sit on and is set to develop further for the end of year show in Miami. Both striking and interactive, this latest association with art work is only the latest in Fendi’s collaborative projects - look out for another at the London Design Festival later this year where Fendi team with Fumi Gallery.

Darren Romanelli (aka Dr. Romanelli) has been the Bird to the Converse Bee in the newly conceived Dr. Romanelli for Converse Chuck Taylor All Star - the newest edition to the Chuck Taylor All Star shoes family. Romanelli regularly combines vintage Americana elements within his art projects and has draped the Chuck Taylor outline in a classic American flag - like something Lady GaGa may have worn in the restaurant-murder-dance-routine scene in the Telephone video. The shoes retail at £100, come in sizes 6-12 and are available from shoe stores and Selfridges.

Guerlain, Paris, is one of the oldest perfumers in the world. In 1925, the fragrance Shalimar was created, encouraging women to celebrate their sexuality (long before the sexual revolution of the 60’s), encourage their sense of exploration and successfully assimilated vanilla into the fragrance world. Now the Parisian fragrance house has enlisted Jade Jagger to design a new bottle for the fragrance to continue these celebrations for a new generation of adventurous women. Bold and contemporary, the new bottle plays homage to the original bottle and also returns the signet of Guerlain to the bottle; tied to the bottle around the neck with a delicate ribbon. Jagger herself will be appearing in Harrods on September 8th for the launch of the new bottle.

These pictures were taken inside the Topshop Personal Shopping space. I was a bit bored. A certain Aviator jacket had one of my friends in a flap, and she made me go down to the store to help her find it. Said jacket is £325 and very expensive-looking. The problem is they have sold out and no more are going into store. Lucky for my mate two were returned in her size, so she bought them both.

I’m really happy for everyone concerned that she eventually found the jacket, but especially the Topshop staff - they all knew her by name by the time she came to pay.

Tip: if you see a winter jacket or coat snap it up to avoid disappointment.

Danish design duo Wood Wood have created a capsule collection for ellesse Heritage.

Chanel’s long-awaited new fragrance for men is now available. I say ‘long-awaited’ without any hint of sarcasm in my voice as their back-catologue of frangrances are one of my personal favourites.

Bleu de Chanel is a woody-aromatic fragrance created by Chanel’s nose, Jacques Polge.  The fragrance has a new 1 minute advertising film directed by Martin Scorsese featuring Gaspard Ulliel as the face which launches next week.

They serviced the crowds between midday and 6.30pm on both Saturday and Sunday. The spray was the most popular request with two being applied every 15 minutes from beginning to end.

Yesterday I met someone who was head-to-toe Peter Jensen. She needless to say is a big fan. You know his rabbit-print (pictured)? Well there was a lot of that going on. We discussed the bunny glasses, and the bunny ears that were sent out in a show a few years back. Then the conversation lead to other Peter Jensen bunny possibilities: how about a limited edition bunny tail for Agent Provocateur?

Just an idea.

A lot of care can go into something even when it is designed to deal with harsh conditions - and this has been the approach with Levi’s latest Premium Footwear Collection.  Yes, they are sturdy, but they are made with fine leather, brass finishes, washed to create a curved sole and manually nailed in heels. Plus they look great with authentic Levi’s rivets, buttons and signature red lining making great finishing touches.  Available now.

Uniqlo this week launched their 2011 UT Grand Prix t-shirt design contest. The theme for this year’s competition is based on Disney’s premier rodent couple, Mickey and Minnie Mouse with the winning designs being used for T-shirt art and sold around the world.  Closing date for entries is September the 19th, designs will be judged by a panel of Uniqlo and Disney representatives and the winner will also win $10,000 (which, with the current exchange rate, works out pretty well!). There is something Pop-Art-esque about these new trainers from Puma.  Inspired by the Porsche 917, the canvas 917 Houstons trainers may have nothing to do with Pop Art, but are given an artistic edge thanks to the use of New York graffiti references.  Available now for men and women.

These latest sunglasses from Christian Dior Couture are already favoured by the likes of Hollywood super-star Penelope Cruz and musical icon Madonna.  Available now, they are a great accessory for mid-summer sun.

The Kenzo brand have a long association with keeping things natural and, for one of their newest fragrances, Flower, they have taken their green approach to a new level.  The Flower bottles have removable tops which mean the bottles can be opened and refilled using refill pouches which are on sale now.  The pouches themselves (similar in style to ready made cocktail pouches - though it’s not a good idea to drink the perfume!) are resealable meaning a 50ml refill can be used for a smaller bottle and then stored until needed.  Furthermore, the packaging is made from recyclable materials making refilling environmentally friendly.  Kenzo stores will also soon have ‘Flower fountains’ which mean Flower bottles can be refilled in store.

Known for his atmospheric landscape photography and abstract portraiture, Turner prize-winning artist Wolfgang Tillmans has been capturing captivating images for the best part of the last two decades.  The Serpentine gallery is currently showing an exhibition of his work that demonstrates his vision of the world.

The Libertine is the new bag from Dior.  Made from fine leather and featuring a chic CD metal logo detail, equestrian spirit echoes through the design which debuted earlier this year on the Dior A/W catwalk.  Available in small and medium sizes, the Libertine is on sale in London boutiques now.

When Converse first introduced their Pro Leather shoe back in the 70’s, they were the envy of basketball fans the world over.  A “poorman” version was produced using canvas as opposed to leather making them affordable for the playground.  As an homage to this 1970’s version, Converse have created a new version of the high top trainers available in three simple colours - black (as above), white and brown.  Each has a white midsole with orange and black striping and the brown version of the shoe is livened up with orange lacing.  The new shoes are available from today exclusive to Size? which is celebrating it’s 10th anniversary. £49.99

Move over Eva Mendes! The Autumn campaign for Calvin Klein’s new Envy Underwear Collection (designed to create a more “revealing” silhouette) features the incredible Zoe Saldana looking enviably hot in the new lingerie. The campaign images were taken by Mikael Jansson and we’ve been promised supporting video footage in mid-August.  The Envy collection offers three levels of support for varying levels of support.

The fashion crowd were out in force for the Tigi Catwalk Sleek Mystique party on Redchurch street earlier in the week.  Canapes were served and cocktails flowed - fortunately only one person we know of had to have her hair held back… a successful party then!
